General Conditions of Sale

Article 1 - Application of Terms 

The seller is defined below as Association “Centre International d’Investissement”, with headquarters in Geneva, hereinafter called "CII" which operates throughout the site and the buyer is defined below as the company or person agreeing to these terms and conditions sales. The general conditions of sale apply exclusively to all sales made by CII for its own account and on behalf of his constituents. All other conditions binding the seller  are valid only after written confirmation from him/her. The information contained in catalogs, price lists, websites, notes, etc., are indicative only and may, as such, subject to change without notice by the seller. The mere fact of placing an order or accepting an offer from the seller has the unconditional acceptance of these terms and conditions. Offers are valid within the option period set at one week from the date of the Offer unless otherwise stipulated brought on this offer. These terms and conditions may be changed at any time without notice by CII, the changes are then applied to all subsequent orders. 

Article 2 - Controls

As part of the orders placed on  website and any other CII website, orders are effective from the date of receipt of payment of the order to the bank account of CII for bank or from the date of debiting the account of the buyer for the credit cards. Once the order is placed and payment made online by bank transfer or credit card, the buyer has an hour to cancel the order. If cancellation occurs after that time but before the buyer has been charged, the buyer agrees to pay the seller Euro 100 within 30 days for administrative costs incurred. From the moment the buyer is debited the amount of the order, canceling it is no longer possible. An unpaid within 30 days order is considered canceled and billing Euro 100 administrative fee applies. Orders sent directly by the buyer will be committed by the seller when they have been accepted in writing. All change orders and all accessories or derogatory about the purpose and terms of the sale conditions are valid only if they are included in the offer or confirmation by the seller. Any offer to sell means subject to availability. If out of stock, the seller reserves the right to deliver a product with similar characteristics in size and quality. Any clause from the buyer, not accepted in writing by the seller that would conflict with these terms and conditions or features defined in the offer price will be void. No order cancellation will be accepted without the agreement of CII. All claims paid  to CII cannot be regarded as a deposit. For security reasons relating to bank transactions the seller may request the provision of evidence supporting the veracity of the order.

The information given by the buyer when taking an order is this: if an error occurs in the address of the recipient, the seller cannot be held responsible for the failure in which it could be to deliver the product.

Article 3 - Price 

The prices posted by the seller does not constitute a sale. These prices may be changed unilaterally without prior notice. Goods are charged at the price agreed in the order, within the option period and general economic conditions (taxes, exchange rates, etc.) at the time of delivery. In the case of a currency-linked products: any change to the disadvantage of the seller, 2% drop in the dollar against the Swiss franc set the date of the offer will be reflected on the date of billing. All prices are net in Euro, not including expenses: packaging, transport and insurance from the seller's warehouse.

Article 4 - Delivery

Delivery is made worldwide. Overruns times may not give rise to damages. War, riot, fire, strikes, accidents  are considered as force majeure releasing the impossibility of goods and services  to be supplied and the seller's obligation to deliver . The seller will keep the buyer informed in a timely manner on whenever events listed above. In any event, delivery on time can only occur if the buyer has met its obligations to the seller.

Article 5 - Transport

The transportation risks are borne by the seller,  provided the buyer has checked the goods when they are received in the presence of the carrier and has appeared in writing on the travel voucher, if needed, and it reserves the observed even if free shipping and handling occurs. Unless otherwise agreed, the seller is free to choose the carrier. If the package is too damaged, the buyer can refuse to accept the goods. In the case of lost parcels during transport, the time of inquiry may vary by carrier and take one to three weeks. In case of issue of reserves upon receipt, they must be declared over by registered mail to the carrier within 48 hours maximum and sent a copy in the same period to CII: SATOM, Quai du Seujet 10, 1201 Genève Switzerland .

Article 6 - Claims and after-sales service

All claims relating to defective goods delivered to an error in quantities or their erroneous reference in relation to the accepted offer or confirmation of the order by the seller, the seller must made by registered mail in a within 48 hours of receipt of goods, without neglecting necessary and in accordance with Article 5 of the appeals against the carrier, otherwise the right to claim the buyer will be ceased. The labels on the pieces are necessary be kept  for the guarantee. The containers shall be kept in perfect condition. If it does not, the buyer is not entitled to his right to claim and be paid the sum of Euro 50 to cover the costs of packaging parts with the original packaging which had been disappeared or damaged. The buyer must allow the seller to perform all operations on audit of claims. All returns must have prior approval of the vendor that will provide a return number that the buyer will be printed directly on the package. The buyer need also to enclose a copy of the invoice which was sent. Otherwise, the returned package will be refused. Failing the agreement, any merchandise will be held at the disposal on the buyer's expense and risk, including cost of transport, storage and handling.

Article 7 - Warranty

Products are guaranteed by the manufacturer against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery, except for special conditions signified. Interventions under warranty can not have the effect of extending the duration thereof. Seller's guarantee on transport can be implemented only if the buyer has fully complied with Article 5 of the General Conditions.

In case of bankruptcy of  the manufacturer or failure to supply, the buyer can not take action against the seller. CII can not be held responsible for any damages that may arise from the purchase of products or for any loss of data. CII does not guarantee the buyer in respect of latent defects affecting the products delivered, as part of a replacement of defective products or parts making them fit for use, without being seen by the buyer responsible for any harmful consequences that these hidden defects could have resulted.

Article 8 - Litigation

Complaints or disputes will always be received with kindness, good faith is always presumed in those who took the trouble to explain his problems. In case of dispute, the jurisdiction is located in Geneva.

 CII Refund/Cancellation Policy

 These terms and conditions govern the Centre International d’Investissement (CII) refund/cancellation policy: 


A. CII Event Refund/Cancellation Policy


1. Event Cancellation by Organizer

The Centre International d’Investissement (CII) reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable.

If CII cancels an event, registrants will be offered a full refund.

Should circumstances arise that result in the postponement of an event, CII has the right to either issue a full refund or transfer registration to the same event at the new, future date.


2. Registration Cancellation by Participant

Unless specifically stated on registration materials, the deadline to receive a refund for your registration is 30 business days before the event.

Registration cancellations received prior to the deadline may be eligible to receive a refund less a $75 service fee.

Cancellations received after the stated deadline will not be eligible for a refund.

Refunds will not be available for registrants who choose not to attend an event.

Cancellations will be accepted in writing only and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline.

All refund requests must be made by the attendee or credit card holder.

Refund requests must include the name of the attendee and/or transaction number.

Refunds will be credited back to the original credit card used for payment.

These above policies apply to all CII events unless otherwise noted in the corresponding event materials. Please read all individual event information thoroughly.


B. CII Goods and Product Refund/Return Policy

All returns of goods and materials purchased directly from the Centre International d’Investissement (CII) require prior authorization. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable; Returns must be authorized by the CII within 30 days of the invoice date. Within thirty (30) days of purchase, we will replace, substitute or repair, at our sole discretion, any CII product that is deemed defective.

Products provided/sold by CII partners and affinity programs are subject to the return policy of the partner. 

Products which are software or downloadable from any CII website or provided by e-mail or media (CD ROM, Memory Drives, etc) are non-refundable.
